Tim and his wife Melissa are actively involved in the Houston Chapter of Cure JM, serving as Co-Chairs of the Walk Strong Across America Houston and leading the charge for the Houston Chapter’s excellent fundraising success.
Tim is a partner in the Houston trial firm, Ahmad Zavitsanos Anaipakos Alavi & Mensing P.C. or AZA, as it is better known. Tim handles a wide variety of business litigation and oil and gas disputes. He has been repeatedly recognized by Best Lawyers in America for commercial litigation in Texas and has been named to the Texas Super Lawyers list every year since 2014. Prior to joining AZA, Tim practiced for several years in the litigation department of Baker Botts in Houston.
Tim received his law degree from Harvard Law School. While at Harvard, he served as a Teaching Fellow in Harvard’s Department of Economics. Tim received a Master of Public Service and Administration from the Bush School of Government at Texas A&M University, where he was recognized as a Bush Fellow. He received his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, in economics and political science from Baylor University.
The Shelbys reside in Texas with their two sons. Their son Grant was diagnosed with JM in 2011.
