Sheila T. Angeles-Han, M.D., M.Sc. is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Han is a pediatric rheumatologist who is dedicated to improving the outcomes and quality of life of all children with autoimmune disease. Throughout her career, she has received grants from the National Institute of Health, and ophthalmology and rheumatology foundations.
Dr. Han’s research focuses on investigating non-invasive biomarkers and genetic risk factors of ocular inflammation, and establishing a comprehensive assessment of pediatric uveitis outcomes. She developed and validated the only measure of vision-related quality of life and function for pediatric uveitis, the “Effects of Youngsters’ Eyesight on Quality of Life” (EYE-Q) questionnaire.
