Jessica Neely, MD is a Pediatric Rheumatologist at the University of California, San Francisco. She diagnoses and treats children with all types of autoimmune diseases and is also a clinical and translational researcher. Her clinical research involves answering questions with U.S. registry data. In her translational work, she uses patient blood samples to identify the cell types associated with juvenile dermatomyositis using multi-modal single-cell sequencing. She has formal training in bioinformatics and machine learning as well as training in clinical research methods and epidemiology. Her ultimate goal is to use a computational systems biology approach to provide insight into the pathogenesis of systemic autoimmune diseases in order to inform personalized treatment approaches.
