Dr. Cuoghi Camille Edens is a distinguished rheumatologist with dual board certifications in both adult and pediatric rheumatology. She earned her medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in 2010. Subsequently, she completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Michigan in 2014. Dr. Edens further specialized by completing fellowships in both adult and pediatric rheumatology at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in 2018.
In her clinical practice, Dr. Edens treats a wide array of conditions, including systemic lupus erythematosus, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, vasculitis, and dermatomyositis. Her unique training enables her to provide seamless care for pediatric patients transitioning into adulthood. Additionally, she offers specialized care for pregnant women with rheumatic conditions, providing preconception and contraception counseling.
Dr. Edens’ research interests focus on reproductive health in patients with rheumatic diseases, particularly concerning pregnancy outcomes and medication safety. She is actively involved in studies addressing healthcare transitions for young adults with chronic rheumatic conditions. Beyond her research, Dr. Edens serves as the Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship Director and is deeply involved in medical education for students and residents.
