Dr. Julie Wohrley

A specialist in Pediatric Critical Care, Julie Wohrley became aware of Cure JM Foundation after her youngest child, Isabella, was diagnosed with JDM in April 2008 at three years of age.

Julie currently divides her time working as a volunteer at her children’s school and raising funds for Cure JM Foundation. Previously, Julie trained and worked as a Pediatrician and Pediatric Critical Care Specialist for over 19 years before retiring in 2007 to become a stay-at-home mom to Isabella, 7 year-old Nicholas and 9 year-old Alexandra.

Together with her husband, Samir, and her family, Julie hopes to use her experience to further the cause of JDM. It is her belief that today’s fundraising efforts can make a difference for children everywhere living with this disease until a cure is found.
