Losing Casey devastated our family and left a void which can never be filled. It was and still is difficult to understand the meaning of losing our vibrant sister/daughter at such a young age, but after time we came to realize that each life has an enduring impact on the world far beyond the time they are actually here with us.

Casey inspired us with her strength and tenacity to fight her disease and we want her determined spirit to inspire other children afflicted with Juvenile Myositis.

Postscript: Casey’s parents, Luis and Juanita Pannocchia, were recognized as Cure JM heroes for their efforts to raise funds for juvenile myositis research.  They regularly hold walks, golf events and other fundraisers. Over the years the Pannocchias have attend Cure JM events in their area and around the country. Between events, they are constant source of support and knowledge to other Cure JM families. The Pannocchias are true Cure JM Heroes.
