Denise Koch has been an enthusiastic and “all-in” Cure JM volunteer since 2013. She currently serves as the Chair of the Cure JM National Leadership Council, as well as the Secretary on the Board of Directors.
Denise is a former United States Postal Carrier, and has been a tireless volunteer for Cure JM across the country and in her local Chicago Chapter. Denise believes that the hope is in the research, and has tirelessly worked to raise funds over the years, lending her leadership to the Walk Strong Across America Illinois and Giving Tuesday fundraisers. In addition, Denise is the volunteer chair of Cure JM’s Rare Experiences Auction committee.
Denise and her husband Roger have two grown daughters, and their younger daughter, Jessica, was diagnosed with juvenile polymyositis in 2006 when she was in high school. Despite Jessica’s setbacks with her health, she enjoyed high school and college, and is now active, married, has a child of her own, and a successful career.
Denise and her husband live in Ottawa, Illinois, outside of Chicago.
