Kelly Gaither

Kelly Gaither is the Director of Visualization at the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), a multi-million dollar program funded primarily by external grants. Dr. Gaither leads the visualization activities while conducting research in scientific visualization. She received her doctoral degree in Computational Engineering from Mississippi State University in May, 2000, and received her masters and bachelors degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University in 1992 and 1988 respectively. Gaither has over thirty refereed publications in fields ranging from Computatational Mechanics to Supercomputing Applications to Scientific Visualization. She has given a number of invited talks. Over the past ten years, she has actively participated in conferences related to her field, specifically acting as general chair in 2004 of IEEE Visualization.
